@superbokkie We ran tests with Salient and we are not seeing the issue.
It could be a setting that you turned on in Salient that be causing this. We would suggest you to either enable the Salient’s Page Transition Animation so that the X icon is not show. OR contact the Salient Developers about this so they can provide an insight as to why its happening on your site.

@getbrave Ah ok, how strange. I’ve already tried switching on the page transition feature but it doesn’t fix the X issue. I will contact Salient in the meantime.
Are you still going to submit a fix for the ‘x’ appearing in a future update? I love your plugin but unfortunately won’t be able to use it until it’s fixed

@superbokkie We actually have to reproduce the issue on our end to fix it. But strangely we cannot reproduce this issue. We have tried tweaking some settings in Salient to see if the issue appears, but it never did. So we guessing that it has something to do with a specific Salient settings. Let us know what the Salient guys say.

@getbrave Hello and happy New Year. I finally heard back from Salient support and unfortunately their reply was, and I quote,
Sorry, but we can’t help resolve Third party plugin conflicts as per Themeforest Policy
I keep checking your plugin after every update to see if the x is still there – last checked yesterday after the latest update and unfortunately it’s still there.
I’m hoping that one day it will get resolved but until then I have to keep using a worse, but working plugin 🙁

We are very sorry that you are not able to use the plugin with the theme. In our test the Our popups did not have the issue when used with Salient.
Can you kindly send us your Salient theme settings exported data so we can import it in our test site and see if we can reproduce the issue? Please be sure to remove any sensitive data before exporting. You can send the exported theme setting file to contact@getbrave.io
