• I checked and didn’t see a topic on this anywhere, so here goes.

I had this problem prior to 2.0.1 but now it simply will not go away. If you visit my blog – http://www.butterspank.com/butterblog/ you’ll see that there is a huge white chunk of space before the first post.

This happened when I went to post a draft I had writen using the prior version of WP, using the new version 2.0.1. It was taking forever to publish so I made the mistake of clicking the “view site” link at the top of the page (like I used to be able to do with the older version of WP) and now I have no post and that giant white blank spot that wont go away.

I used to have this problem with the prior version of WP but it only happened when I used the italics tags with cut-n-pasted text – and even then it wasn’t consistant. But at the very worst I just removed the tags from my post and I was good to go. Now, apparently I am hosed.

I’d love any help anyone has to offer.

Also, is there a way to default the new version of WP to html editing only. To be honest I hate the new interface. Way to much like Front Page.

  • For your last question: in Options, Writing, there’s a check box for it. Uncheck the box to default to “plain vanilla”.

Sweet, thanks! Plus I just solved my blank space issue. I found the missing draft that I posted. It posted it under my feb 15th stuff. Freakin weird. I deleted the post and everything is working again.

Glad to hear it! Have fun….
