 * i’ve tried that, and unfortunately, since it’s the same database settings, it
thinks that it’s been installed already.
 * ah well, it’s alright. thanks for trying to help, i really do appreciate it.
i’ll just sleep and start fresh tomorrow.

 * Try editing the wp-config.php file and adding a table prefix only. This will
force it to create a new set of (empty) tables for you to work with. This is
a technique normally used to install two different instances of WP on one database.
Worth a shot! Okay, NOW I really am going to sleep!

 * You need to access the mysql database by one means or another.
 * Do you have ssh/telnet access?
If so then you can login and run mysql commands
   with mysql
 * Do you know the MySQL user name and password?
 * If so then you can try installing phpmyadmin on your sub-domain in a directory.
 * If not look in wp_config.php file. It is there.

 * hey thanks guys for all the help. i tried jonimueller’s last advice, and it worked!!
hehe…but i think i’ll still have my host clear the database tables. but at least
for now i have something to work with, and i’ll just save my work and when i
reinstall on a fresh set od database tables i’ll upload my work.

 * You shouldn’t edit wp-config.php (or any php file) in anything except a plain
text editor. I don’t think Dreamweaver qualifies.
