Support » Fixing WordPress » BIG problem – same content for every post in preview/live but edit screen ok

  • Resolved csleh

    here’s the site:

    all the titles are correct, and the permalinks and urls are working properly.

    BUT each post has the exact SAME content and title! Even in preview when working on the post. So I can see the title and correct content when working, but press preview or go to the site and the content is all a duplicate.

  • As soon as I hit “publish”, all posts show the exact same content on the site. But the titles are correct when listed on category pages.

    Just upgraded to 2.7 then this issue happened.

    When in admin I can look at the post content and see it is still correct and each post is different. Just doesn’t show up when looking at the site.

    Hi there,

    I am having the same problem, did you manage to solve it?

    Thanks, Mike

    After some experimenting it appeared that the single.php page was being cached somewhere along the line, so adding:

    header(“Cache-Control: no-cache, must-revalidate”);

    to the top of header.php, seems, to have solved the problem, perhaps not the most elegant solution…

    I upgraded (heart-pounding white screen of death for a while!) but that didn’t help. WOuld like to try adding the cache bit but need to figure out where… looks like it goes inside a bit of code so need to find that. Will post when I know.

    The problem was where the main loop began in the document. it has to start after querying posts.

    Hey, I’m having this exact issue. What did you do to fix it?

    Ahh, my sidebar was resetting the posts loop. I moved the sidebar inclusion out of my posts loop.

    PS Thanks anderswc from #wordpress!
