    ok, i found my fault. i placed the original sized image… but i didn’t get a horizontal slider.

    perhaps you can implement this in future versions.

    It’s a nice idea 🙂 but I’m afraid it’s beyond my abilities to code. You see, the imagemap command is pure HTML, it doesn’t use JS, Flash, Java or whatever language you normally use for doing those things. The reason why I like it is exactly because imagemaps are pure HTML and so will work on any browser, even on those who have no JS or Flash or Java support.

    It naturally has its limitations. You have pointed out one of them: if you use Javascript to do a slider, the imagemap will not work. Remember, imagemaps predate Javascript by many years — it’s an ancient HTML tag from 1992 or so.

    What you probably need is a Javascript-based slider with the ability to click on certain bits. There are a few things like that for sure, but they are beyond my skills to code, and you would be better off using a specific plugin for that. Sorry, I’m really not such a good programmer myself…
