Big Gray Area I don’t want

    Hello everyone, I am building a website from scratch for the very first time, all looks to be well so far. However; when I made a home page and made it a front static page while following this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W73umJTCFDE&t=1h29m23s , something happened on mine that didn’t happen on his.

    The theme is Storefront. I’m on WOOT, the child theme.

    Above the slider I entered after the problem occurred, there is a big gray area with a product in it. That area and product is not supposed to be there or anywhere on the page. The slider is supposed to be on the top.

    I tried using the HomePage Control widget to remove the Storefront Homepage Content to no avail.

    If anyone has any clue as to what I could do, it would be greatly appreciated.
