• I love the Gutenberg Editor and am somehwat attached to it especially since I love the block options that come with it. I also have a well established store in Big Commerce. We are currently migrating the store to a Word Press Site and running Big Commerce as a Plug in because page page and blog options are just so much nicer in WP.

My problem is this: When the BC plug in is installed it negatively impacts the link search option in Gutenberg editor.
For example if I link to an info page and try and create the link the Gutenberg editor will only suggest product links to me. All info pages no longer show in the search. Just product.
Without the Big Commerce plug in it works fine.
    Obviously I need both though.
    Is that doable? How?

Hey there! This is the first I’ve heard of this bug, so thank you VERY much! Can you email me some screenshots at topher@bigcommerce.com? I’ll get an internal ticket started and we should be able to get right on it.

Oh that would be fabulous. I just sent you an email with a couple of examples. Would be so great if you could make it work!

    Updates on this??

It’s been internally ticketed and marked for fix, _probably_ in the next release in a couple weeks, but as soon as I say that something terrible will happen. I don’t see a reason why it won’t be in the next release, I’m just always wary of saying such things. 🙂

Heh – I totally understand the reluctance. Not holding you to it – just curious.

@melunausa @lorax I was able to replicate when you reported it, but I can’t anymore, and neither can our dev team. Can you verify for me that it’s still a problem for you?

I updated all my plug ins in hopes it would have resolved itself for me as well but I am still getting the same issue.
It does give suggestions but they are all products, no info pages.
For example if I use ‘guarantee’ as a search term it should come up with our guarantee page as a link suggestion but instead it suggests products.

Could you try switching themes to twentytwenty, and perhaps try disabling all other plugins? I’d like to try to rule out that stuff.

Unfortunately we will not be able to switch to twentytwenty since a lot of design work on our current theme would be lost.
Our previous developer already tried uninstalling other plug ins when the problem first occurred and the trigger plug in always seemed to be Big Commerce.
I am actually just the business owner and have a Developer Team from Arctic Leaf working on this. Would it be possible to create a dialog directly between Arctic Leaf and Big Commerce. I am afraid with me as the middle man in communication something may get lost.

Certainly, have them contact me directly at topher@bigcommerce.com.

For what i’;s worth, you can switch themes for a test without losing the design from your other theme. When you switch back it all magically comes back. 🙂
