Big, BIG issues with site

My site is complete gibberish. I cannot access any part of it – not even admin. I am able to view the site through FTP but that doesn’t really help me.

My host suspects an attack, but this doesn’t look like any of the hacks that I read about – there’s no, “gain” to this type of hack, if that’s what it is.

I pray someone has a clue – because it took a long time to complete the site… and although I downloaded a back up about a week before completed, and backed up the database at one point – my host doesn’t appear to play well with any form of back up, claiming it uses too many resources (for a 10 page site?!). Shared hosting. Ugh!
