• Version 14.1 (most recent version) of Yoast is experiencing problems with its coding. Appears to be a problem with tables. They suggest downloading a test tool but that does not resolve the issue for everyone. I suspect it is worth avoiding this plugin until they actually sort it out. Yoast still works apparently, but not sure exactly what is working and what doesnt work and they dont seem to have a handle on it yet. Lot of comments posted on forums about this issue.

  • Hello, I have also problems with Yoast 14.1.
I deactivated all the plugins and activated them one for one again and I found that Yoast is causing the problem. It gives a critical WordPress failure.

    Hi @jbfagan and @aabevewordpress,

    Thanks for your comments.

Yoast SEO v14.1 comes with several bugfixes which solve most of the problems our users were experiencing. Yoast SEO v14.x needs to create new tables in your WordPress database to store SEO metadata and bring a speed boost to your site. If these tables can’t be created, you’ll see a notice in the WordPress dashboard. Usually, it’s a matter of incorrect database permissions as this help article explains. If the tables can’t be created, the plugin will continue functioning as normal but you won’t get a speed boost.

That said, if Yoast SEO v14.1 still doesn’t work for you, we’d appreciate it if you could create a new support topic so that our support team can look into the issue and assist you further: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/wordpress-seo/

    Thanks!
