• Ignoring the technical issues which have been covered elsewhere in reviews, I think it is important to highlight what their staff told me in an email, after I had entered my credit card details:

“All of our services are subscription based.”

“We can issue you a refund, there a 20% admin fee where the account wasn’t cancelled at least 48 hours prior to renewal.”

To be fair they also say “All the downloads will remain yours even when the current subscription period ends.”

But be aware that you cannot buy their plugins; you have to take out an open-ended subscription and remember to cancel it.

  • WMPU already mentioned on their site that one can get a subscription to obtain a single premium plugin and cancel the subscription right away. However, there’s the advantage of having a subscription because you can download themes and plugins for free. This would be way better than going to codecanyon.net [and other similar sites] and paying $20 – $30 each time you want to buy a single plugin! Not to mention, WMPU can act like your WordPress team whereas on codecanyon.net [and other similar sites], the plugins are developed by a single person which means the support for the plugin will be either great or terrible.

Hi @respectyoda, thanks for posting that, that bit of clarification is especially helpful, I think.

Something very important to note here too, all WPMU DEV plugins and themes are released under the same open-source GPL 2 license that WordPress itself is under.

Thus, they’re yours as much as your WordPress installation is yours once you’ve bought them.
