Beware!!! Messed up my site!

    After installing this plugin I added a Google WebFonts link tag for a font I wanted on my site.

    I added that in the appropriate box in the settings, added the CSS to my theme’s CSS page and when I reloaded my site, all it loaded were the images in a scrolling plugin and the unformatted text on the page – no menu, no sidebar – nothing – just the images and the text.

    I removed the link tag I added, but that didn’t fix it. Then I disabled and uninstalled the plugin – still screwed up.

    After comparing this site to another WP site I manage I realized that the entire contents of the <head> tag are missing – including the <head> tag itself. That’s not something I could have done – I haven’t touched any code related to the header.php file or the <head> tag itself.

    So I spent the next half hour trying to track down the developer – there’s a comments-type setup on his web page for the plugin, but when I tried to create an account to post a comment, I got a warning that my IP was blocked. WHAT?!? I’m in the middle of rural Minnesota on a national ISP’s Internet connection.

    There’s also a page for the plugin here, but the Support Form link in the menu brings you to a 404 page.

    I can’t find any way to get a hold of the developer to find out how to fix his mess.

    Update:

    I finally fixed it by reverting to the parent theme that the theme I’m using came from, and then bit-by-bit added back in my customizations – I’m still not sure what happened, so I can’t say whether it was my doing (sorry, but I honestly doubt that) or the plugin.

    Hi, thank you for 1 star rating. When the plugin is deactivated, no injection takes place so the plugin cannot break your blog or leave things broken.

    You should look at other modifications you made in your blog. Probably a versioning system or a ste by step backup could be useful.

    About the registration by ip blocked, it’s a protection plugin installed in the blog to avoid spammers. sorry for that, antispam methods are not perfect.

    Anyway, I repeat, when a plugin is deactivated or deleted it cannot do things on a blog and since my plugin does not changes files in the wordpress installation, it cannot be the cause of your problems.

    This PLUGIN does CRASH your site.
    * Running WP 4.4.1 (2016)
    * And Header and Footer Plugin Version: 1.6.9.

    Just rename the Plugin from within FTP and you can re-enter WP admin etc.

    Version 1.7.0 reverted a new feature which breaks the public page rendering when the after body injection is active.

    Actually I don’t understand why you’re adding a comment to another thread related to a rating (and to post at least other three messages). Are you in the mood to spam the world about a non working free plugin? Maybe write me directly so I can as quickly as possible solve the problem is not considered a good practice?
