Better WP Security conflicts with s2Member

    Hello,

    The Better WP security plugin is known to cause problems with s2Member. This plugin has been known to stop HTTP communication that occurs between s2Member and PayPal.

    TIP: If Better WP Security has a configuration option that denies self-serve requests that coming from the same IP as your machine, please do not enable this. That is one of many security flags that conflicts with the WP_Http class that s2Member uses.

    Can developers of Better WP security plugin work out the conflict between these two plugins ?

    Just a note here that I had some issues with s2member which I resolved by changing iThemes Security settings.

    The issue I was seeing was that the return url was not loading. The s2-server-scanner was also reporting: [ERROR] cURL Extension / Or fopen() URL One or more HTTP connection tests failed against localhost. Cannot connect to self over HTTP — possible DNS resolution issue.

    I disabled the following iThemes Security settings to get it working:
    – Filter suspicious query strings in the url
    – Filter long url strings
    – Filter request methods
