I’m having a bit of a compatibility issue with Better WP Security and a couple of plugins that use RESTful operations. In a nutshell, it looks like when Better WP Security is enabled, file_get_contents(‘php://input’) always returns an empty string. This is a problem, because file_get_contents(‘php://input’) is currently the only way to retrieve the query data for PUT and DELETE operations. Is there any way to get around this limitation?
(Since I’m sure that someone is about to suggest re-coding the affected plugins to only use GET and POST operations, let me head that one off right now; it’s not necessarily a bad suggestion, but it’s not a feasible one in this particular situation.)
