Better page order management

I would like to suggest the added feature to help better allow for page order management for the default WP menu. Currently the only option by default is 0-9 a-z. The addition of a option to change the way that pages are sorted for menus would be greatly appreciated. Custom menus allow for this, but does not work well on sites with lots of pages or sites that have pages changing frequently.
