@modlook Although a better one may exist I find it peculiar this user has left a one star review on 3 of our plugins in one day as if acting in revenge, leaving no real reason and never requesting help. On top of that looking back through past reviews this user has been less than helpful and also calling developers “Losers”. Wondering if you can consider the removal of the reviews he has left.

Don’t use @modlook again, OK? It’s tagging the topic with modlook that gets the attention of the moderators. Using the @ doesn’t do anything.

    *Looks*

While this review is sparse, it’s still a review and will not be removed.

@jdembowski Thanks for the follow up. How should I address the mod when I want to direct the message at them and not the original Author?

I must say I’m rather disappointed at your response and not taking into consideration my other points on the timeline of the reviews left and abusive comments directed at others in previous reviews. Am I to understand this is ok practice on wordpress.org?

The way you did. Just reply and tag the topic with modlook. Never @modlook because that just pings a user who happens to have that user ID. That’s not a moderator account and @ing it just annoys that account.

What do you use or think the reviews are for here? Serious question.

And yes, this review is allowed.

@jdembowski Ah that makes perfect sense about the tag issue, thanks for clarifying.

Most definitely not for abusing a plugin developer by just putting one stars on all of our plugins. Not that it’s your job but just looking at the timeline of reviews left it seems pretty obvious he is just pissed. In all my years being on here I have never seen that anything like that happen is such succession. Am I wrong? https://wordpress.org/support/users/schwarttzy/reviews/

    How is this abuse?

    Sparse yes. Abusive? No.

These reviews happen all the time. I know, I review the reviews. This isn’t anything. It really isn’t. The ones where people get personal and attack the author those get redacted or removed. If the reviewer really crosses the line they get a warning from a moderator.

This and the other reviews do not come close to the standard as an attack. Is it the most useful review? It’s 3 words and that’s just not that informative.

It’s not a very good review but it doesn’t meet the criteria for removal.

This isn’t a new topic for discussion. Give my friend Mika’s video a look if you haven’t already done so.

I’m personally fond of the part at 16:20.

I was not referring so much to this review as verbally abusive, more the nature of the succession of one stars left on our plugins by one user, in the same day, probably within minutes apart. All good though as they say, what comes around go around and karma always finds a way. Thanks again for replying.
