@silva8899 did you see the note re: enabling the setting for the v4 shim in the blog post I linked? That should fix it for you. I responded to your other support request, but never heard back.
For reference, from my blog post:
enables v4 legacy shim by default for upgrades (folks who enabled another beta version already will still need to manually enable the “Include v4 CSS shim” option via Settings > Better Font Awesome)

Hi again @silva8899, mind spinning up a separate support thread so we can discuss there? In that thread, can you also please share a link to your site so I can take a look? Thanks!
Hi Mate @mcguive7
yes of course….the link is ( https://teneriffa-aktuell.com/ )…you can check it out…
I hope will be soon fixed because the shortcodes are a sign for the visitors for exertnal Links

I see that you have multiple versions of font-awesome included on your page (at least one other is https://teneriffa-aktuell.com/wp-content/plugins/PW-Pro-News-Ticker-For-VC/css/fontawesome/font-awesome.css, and this is almost certainly the cause of the issue, since I see that the specific missing icon fa-external-link
is indeed covered in the included shim CSS. Please try checking the box for the 2nd BFA settings option to “Remove existing Font Awesome”, which should hopefully disable non-BFA Font Awesome CSS and possibly fix this issue. If not, I suspect you’ll need to find some other way to reconcile the multiple versions of Font Awesome being included on your site.
Good Morning @mcguive7
I tried the second option and it did not fix the error. I then disabled the affected plugin you mentioned and that didn’t fix the error either. So that can not be the error…
When I deactivate your plugin the shortcode is displayed. This means that in your plugin the shortcode output does not work.
What can you recommend for me now? It doesn’t work with your plugin and if I deactivate the other plugin, the problem is still not solved.
I can’t edit thousands of publications manually just because the icon doesn’t work now….
Best regards

Can I ask, which shortcode are you using @silva8899?

Alrighty, I think I’ve actually discovered (and now triaged) a deeper issue, thanks in part to your feedback! Please see https://wordpress.org/support/topic/2-0-1-released-fixes-hard-coded-missing-v4-icons/ for all the details.
Thanks again!
hi @mcguive7 ,
i will try today with the new posts and i will let you know 😉
