Regarding the month jumping interface, it’s on the list, but low on the list.

I will release the next release under a different version number so (probably 0.9.9.1) so yes, it will display in the plugin auto-update.

    Eran

    What does this do?

added optional shortcode parameter to exclude display of categories in the categories option[calendar excluded=true] default: false

I was thinking it removed the Categories from the top of the full calendar view but it doesn’t. I’m just confused on what it does.

The excluded option allows you to display all events except those listed in the categories option.
For example, if you have categories 1 through 4 and only want to show events from category 1 you would use [calendar categories=1]. If you only want to display events from all other categories you would use [category categories=1 excluded=true].

Hope that explains it more clearly.

FYI, if only one category is listed in the calendar, the category filter at the top of the calendar does not appear. Otherwise, the filter will always appear, as it is both a filter and a legend for the event types displayed in the calendar.

    Hi Eran,

How does one test out the beta? Do I upload the new folder to replace the existing one?

Do I need to deactivate the plugin first from the WP admin, then replace the plugin folder? Then re-activate?

I am very comfortable with WP, just never tested a beta version of a plugin. Thanks.

And do you have an idea from your experience how long it would be, an estimate if you have one, before you would feel confident enough on this release to make it an official update?

Dave, please refer to posts made earlier in this thread regarding testing the beta.

I expect the to have to release the beta (with several improvements) in the next few days.

    Hi Eran

Have you thought of adding a Detailed List view, i.e. Todays Events, This Week’s Events? I thinking of adding it myself, but if its in the works, I won’t bother.

Also any chance of adding an option so people could subscribe to the calendar with iCal, etc?

    thanks for the great calendar

    Hi Eran,
I don’t know if you are already aware of it but there is a problem with apostrophe in fields, when put ‘ it become \’ and each time open the window add a backslash.
I’m using the italian version of this beta.
For me, the rest works smoothly.
    Thanks again

    Thanks Erin,

I will wait for the release.

@ebharding: as indicated at the top of this thread – please do not post feature requests here, instead, create a new thread so this topic remains consistent. (Also, if you search the forum you will find several discussions about the ical functionality requests). Thanks.

@macitaly: I am not able to replicate this problem, so I think the problem may be with your server setup. This post may help you solve your issue.

Plugin version 0.9.9.1 is now available for download.

The category colours are no longer working – I’ve Chmod777 the CSS as before but…

    Plugin Contributor Eran Miller

    (@eranmiller)

    Try:
    1. add a new category (temporarily)
    2. wait for the save confirmation notification to appear
    3. delete the temporary category
    4. navigate to the frontend calendar
    5. press shift+F5

    Do your category colors appear?
If not, check your php sever logs for errors.

Genius – they arrived before I pressed shift F5

    Thank you.

Erin, great plugin thank you for all your work to date and yet to come.

I’m running the beta on my personal blog http://johndvickers.ddandhservices.com/ and I seem to be having an issue, perhaps a bug. The full calendar is here http://johndvickers.ddandhservices.com/?page_id=1777

The 1st place I want to use this is on our church site at http://ctkac.ca however I seem to be having two issues. In no particular order

    • in the back end when I enter both an 8 am and a 10 am service that are very similar but physically at two different addresses when saved at 1st I see two events showing the time of which ever event is the latest added. e.g.: using my example of 8 am and 10 am the back end displays two events at 10 am, And the widget displays the 8 am with no visible time yet displays the 10 am event with the time visible.
    • And the second issue is that I now have events in the full calendar displaying the time e.g.: 10 am twice. Once as 10:00 am and secondly as 10a.

    Thank you again
    John Vickers, Owner DD&H Services.
