    Hello everyone,

Our blog http://cvr.xs4all.nl/en/ supports three different languages: Dutch, English, and Portuguese. When I want to post a gallery of images to this blog, I have to do an amazing amount of work, so I was hoping that someone could suggest some improvements to my workflow, or perhaps some tweaks to plugins such as polylang could be implemented that would help me.

I want the readers of the blog to be able to comment on each individual photo in a blog. Unfortunately, I have not found a good way to provide that with NextGEN galleries, so I am using the built-in WordPress Media.

I can upload images from Adobe Lightroom to the blog using Dossier de Presse, but unfortunately, the uploaded images are not associated with any language. That’s easy to fix by clicking ‘Edit’ for an image and then immediately clicking ‘Update’ in the editor, but doing that for forty images takes a lot of time. It would help a lot if new images could get a default language assigned and/or if it would be possible to change the language of images in bulk.

Once I have the gallery post ready in one language, I want to translate it to the two other languages. I can create a translated post with one click on ‘Add new’ in the Languages table, but unfortunately that does not create translated versions of the Media entries, so they have to be translated one by one, and then linked with the translated post. Again, for forty images that is a lot of work! It would help a lot if creating a translation of the parent post would automatically also create translated versions of the images (perhaps after asking permission to the user).

It may be that I’m doing it wrong, and that there is a much simpler way to get what I want. If so, I would be happy to hear it.

    Thanks for any comments!
