Best Way to Set Up Archive Pages of Past Events

    This question is open for all to comment on: As I get 20, 30 or more past events, what are some ways to set up an archive showing all of these events? Right now I’m simply showing the past 15 on a “Past Events” page, with no way to get to the larger number of earlier events (see http://www.e-wavelengths.org, Past Meetings).
    I know that regular WordPress blog systems show the most-recent past Posts on the first page, and have “Previous” and “Next” links at the foot of the page to show earlier Posts. Is this how most sites would show their Past Events — using WordPress’s Blog archiving system? Is there a way to put them in EVENT-DATE order, rather than in Post Order?
    I’m open to any other suggestions (and examples) for showing this archive of past events.
