Best way to protect your WordPress against malware, virusses, etc

Hi,

Does anyone know of a way to have solid protection in your WordPress site? I can’t be bothered with more malware in my javascript and redirects all over my php.

I don’t really know which plugins I’ll need for solid protection, since a lot of plugins only seem to offer one function.

Help would be much appreciated!
