• Shortly, I’ll be moving my Blogger hosted website to WordPress. After the move I’ll be using one of the plugins to create 301 redirects, which seems pretty straightforward to do. However, I have about 1000 pages that I want to put into a category, so the URLs would change from:

    http://www.mysite.com/2013/07/movie-name.html

    to

    http://www.mysite.com/movie/movie-name.html

Is this something I would do after running a 301 plugin on all pages? Basically, I’m curious how some of you would go about doing this.

  • Hello,

Yes, some plugins can handle this, that if all your old urls will change the same way, you will just create one redirect path and it will works for all urls. Just check redirect plugins which works the best for you.
You can also try to google about that and put that redirect to .htaccess file if you are familiar with this.

Btw. don’t use suffix on the end .html it looks crapy 😉
