    I think this could be a productive improvement:

    Split the Content Area vertically (or alternate).

    Or allow the Sidebar to grow left (if custom fields can go there).

    Sometimes there are a lot of custom fields below, it would be much better if they were side by side.

    Screens are so horizontally big and the web is so vertical, it’s a pity we don’t use that for productivity.

    I’m a little confused. Which interface are you referring to? The front end? That’s where the themes come in. Or do you mean the back end of WordPress?

    I mean the back end. It would be useful for the clients/users to have a more “vertical” edit/data insertion (in custom fields) experience.

    Instead, or besides, of having just option A (image), it would be great if we could split the area verticaly (B).

    And being able to control the handles (C) it would also be nice.

    In your screenshot you can see the block editor. I would recommend that you leave any requests for this with the Gutenberg team here: https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg/issues/
