• I can see why it can be a burden for existing people to make a switch to Gutenberg, but it’s not a reason to plot old technology. WYSIWYG has always had issues, resulting in various attempts at markdown editors.

This is where the Gutenberg shines. Instead of cramming all html into a WYSIWYG, and attempting to parse it, it allows the insertion of individual elements, keeping the code clean.

I love that I can build smart elements, based on schema to better target SEO. I can also create custom blocks for our editors to use to allow our posts to look rich, simple to navigate and easy to read for the end user. Absolutely love this plugin!

    Thanks for the review, @drtimofey!

What kind of custom blocks have you been building for your editors?

Anything you think the Gutenberg team should work on next?

Hi @drtimofey and thanks for the reply. I’ve removed references to your site as that’s not permitted in reviews (it’s been too abused in the past and is not permitted anymore).

Aside from that, this is great feedback. Thanks for that and your understanding.

BTW, if you have a local WordCamp or WordPress meetup, building blocks using schemas would be a really great presentation topic!

Good point. I need to get on board with that. Will keep it in mind!
