I've used Suffusion on more than 20 sites, and I recommend it to anyone who wants a theme/framework with maximum flexibility. You can configure Suffusion to look like nearly any website out there, and it's so well-supported by the developer and other Suffusion users that you will rarely run into a question about configuring it that can't be resolved.
The other advantage to Suffusion is that it interacts well with the ecommerce plugins that it's specifically designed to support, and with any plugin that has been coded properly. The only time that I've ever run into an issue with a plugin causing problems on my Suffusion sites, the problem has turned out to be with the plugin's code, and not with Suffusion.
It's got a bit steeper learning curve than most themes because it's actually a framework, but it's well worth the effort to learn.
