I want to create a network with 3 websites. Each website have specific theme, fonctions and plugins. The goal is to share users database but not content.
I project to use buddypress and bbpress.
My 3 websites:
mysite.com (registration, login, homepage)
community.mysite.com (bbpress, buddypress, login)
Since wordpress 3.0, we can use multi site but in my case i m wondering if is not preferable to use custom user database and shared cookies?
An author in mysite.com can be linked at his buddypress profile in community.mysite.com?
Is it possible to show total number of author’s posts on every website on the author s buddypress profile?
My real question is: Websites can be fully interconnected? And how?
Any help is welcome! Thanks.
