    Personally, I would use no larger than 600px wide…maybe even smaller and if you want to provide larger images make them thumbnails that are clickable to larger images. Here is one I play around with…nothing great, but just one example…note, that I don’t make the images clickable to larger sizes, but I could easily do that if I wanted.

    I say smaller the better because when you change designs, you will have a hard time incorporating. Speaking from experience. Making them clickable is a great idea. Use Next Gen Gallery…
