  • The company I just joined has been using WordPress to develop websites and there are a lot of people on it all doing a variety of different things that cause issues. Some copy parent pages and then the URL turns to parentPage_old or they change a link and all other links become broken. The staging environment isn’t good enough as it is only 1 environment that people constantly copy the live site over to and erase old data. We tried using other staging environments but our clients write blog posts and don’t want to wait for us to review it before it gets posted. We also have a lot of clients and no one to sit around and moderate websites all day for what should get pushed and what shouldn’t. So my question is what is the best way to go about developing websites with a good sized team 20-45 people, while minimizing risks to the site? I am trying to put together a best practices document for our company and thought I would ask the community what they do.
