 * I use the same download over and over – no reason not to.

 * akary, thanks for this info. the reason i ask is i am having problems getting
into wp admin = see my post about 30 minutes ago labeled = “loggin.” after i
re-read “loggin” just now it may be confusing, but what do i need to do to successfully
manage my sites. thanks again. r

 * I read your other post…. I’ve never had any problem like that.
 * Right now, I have 35+ (my own and clients) wp 2.0.9 installs on one shared server
reseller space. Each of those has been set up from the same 2.0.9 download. Each
of them has its own uname=admin/individual pw email sent to me during the setup
process. I can access each of them from my browser with saved info without the
   problem you’re having.
 * I don’t know…. only thing would be if maybe you overwrote a saved uname/pw or
   something….
 * Though if you’re trying to use the same database, you do have to be VERY careful
   about prefixes.

 * what is the best/only way to access site management for one’s sites? i have several
test sites with similar names and they seem to/no, should have, unique login
username/password on cpanel, my sql, etc. but i am having trouble keeping things
separate in wordpress – obviously! r

 * ok, you confirmed that i am supposed to get unique passwords for each install.
i was having dns issues and completely forgot about this small but important
detail. i went through my emails – i can’t find the unique password for a site.
would have to delete existing and then reinstall a new wp to get a new password?

 * hello, since i have not heard any advice i went ahead and emailed = [wordpress@respectivedomainname.com](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/best-practice-install/wordpress@respectivedomainname.com?output_format=md)
   requesting a password.
 * if i don’t hear from them i will take down wp and reinstall hoping to get another
   password. right?

 * ok, learned quite a bit. a complete reinstall can get me a new password. I can
also get in and find a password = [http://codex.wordpress.org/Resetting_Your_Password](http://codex.wordpress.org/Resetting_Your_Password)
 * so i think i am ok.

 * Hiya…. sorry I didn’t get back to you earlier, just got home….
 * But yes, you absolutely do need a unique password for each install. Hopefully
things will go better for you now!
