Support » Installing WordPress » Best Option? Separate installation or Network.

  • Greetings!

Just a little introduction, as this is my first post:

As being a web designer for many years using HTML and CSS, PHP and Javascript, I have finally decided to jump to Content Management Systems and see how it can help on deliver to my clients a way for them to manage their sites without having to rely on the web designer.

I have being testing Joomla and Drupal, and they have quite nice features, but at same time in terms of design I find it much complex and a little difficult for my clients to manage their site.

So, these weeks I decided to jump to WordPress, and I am loving it, from the themes and design workflow (I use it together with Dreamweaver CS5), plugins and widgets library, great community and more important how easy is to get my clients manage their sites!

    Now, to my main question:

What is the best option for running different websites on the same server, but they are not relate in any way with each other?
Should I install WordPress for each site, or using as a network with the MU Domain Mapping?

I would like to hear about members experience on this subject,
and what can be the advantages to go from one option to another.

If you use multisite, the user tables are shared. If you want absolute separation, go with single installs.
