I was sure to have written about being logged in after social registering but can’t find it.
What I was missing is being logged in after social registering. If You know ProfileGrid users can register there via form. Here via social I had to look if any users are not in group and manually add them to group. Users normally don’t expect to have to activate account (like by forms) and think they are logged in and in the group.
That was over time annoying for me so I first deactivated plugin 🙁

  • Hello @jaroslawistok ,
Thanks for reaching out to us!

I can understand what you are looking for. Let me clarify how the Social Login feature of WP-Social actually works. The Social Login feature of the WP-Social doesn’t handle the Registration/Login of a user individually. It Registers a user if not registered and redirects the user to the destination page as a Logged-in user, and this process is done at a time. This flow is nowadays more robust and less time-consuming. We haven’t added the functionality to handle the registration individually and for that reason, Registering a user individually and assigning them to a Group will not be possible at this moment.

But, thanks for letting us know about this feature. We are continuously working on improving our plugin by adding new features according to the customers’ needs. Kindly add this as a feature request so that our Product Management team can evaluate the necessity. You will find the link to the Feature Request Portal on the Description section of the Plugin Details page.

Let me know if there is anything else you need help with.

    Best Regards,
    Prosenjit
