    Hello,

Thank you for developing such a wonderful plugin. I really appreciate your work!

I have a question regarding the behavior of embedded data.

In my workflow, I prepare website updates in a WordPress staging environment and then release them to production by copying the entire WordPress environment using the “All-in-One WP Migration” plugin.

In this type of setup, how is the embedded data handled?

Specifically, after configuring “AI Search” in the staging environment and then deploying it to the production environment, I am concerned that search results might still redirect users to the staging environment URL.

For reference, when exporting with “All-in-One WP Migration”, I replace the site domain with the production environment URL during the export process.

Thank you very much for your time and support. I appreciate any guidance you can provide.

    Hey @kentup,

Thank you so much for your words!

The embedded data is stored in the WordPress database, even if you use our AI service – we only use it to create the embeddings, but the content is saved in your database and will be yours. Also, we don’t have any hardcoded URLs, so the direct answer is:

The only thing you have to do is to reconnect the AI Service and receive a new token to work with the new domain. As soon as you move the website, you’ll see a notification in wp-admin panel asking for the domain reconnect, nothing more. After doing that please doublecheck if it’s working properly (it should).

Let me know if you have any suggestions for the next versions, I’m very keen to provide new things!

    Best,

    Samuel

    Hello, @samuelsilvapt

Thank you very much for your detailed response. I really appreciate it.

Understood. After releasing to the production environment, I will check for the message requesting a domain reconnection and handle it accordingly.

I would also like to share a couple of ideas for future versions of the plugin:

    1. Automation of “Generate Embeddings”
It would be very helpful if the system could periodically check for new or updated posts and automatically run “Generate Embeddings” for them.
    2. Displaying AI-generated summaries
I would love to see a feature where AI-generated summaries and reference links are displayed in the search results.
I’m imagining something similar to the following site:
      https://communities.gainsight.com/search

Thank you again for your great work on this plugin and for your support.

    Hello, @samuelsilvapt

I’d like to share another feature request from my team.

    3. Pinned / Promoted Results

It would be very useful to have an option to pin or promote specific pages in the search results.

In many cases, there are multiple pages with similar titles or content, but administrators may want to ensure that a particular recommended page appears more prominently.

The idea would work something like this:

    • Administrators configure specific keywords (multiple keywords supported)
    • For each keyword, they assign one or more pages to be pinned or promoted
    • When a user searches for those keywords:
      • The configured pages appear at the top of the search results as “Pinned Results”
      • The regular AI Search results appear below them

This would make it easier to guide users to important documentation or recommended pages.

Thank you again for developing and maintaining such a great plugin.
I really appreciate your work and look forward to future updates.

    Hey @kentup ,

I love your suggestions. I’ll focus on the 3rd first as it’s the simple one. Probably you’ll have it available in the next update. thank you!
