Last modified: August 19, 2016 --- # Beginner’s Plugin Question! * [bcorser](https://wordpress.org/support/users/bcorser/) * (@bcorser) * [16 years, 11 months ago](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/beginners-plugin-question/) * Hi All, * So I spent hours and hours figuring out how to get my blog hosted etc. I’m a total beginner at this stuff so please forgive my ignorance. * My problem is this: * I signed up to have my blog at wordpress.com hosted…through GoDaddy I had WordPress installed, which I am pretty sure is the WordPress.org file that allows plugins( because I Know you must host your own account to do any plugins). So, I’m all set on that end. * Last night after all that work, I went to the dashboard for my site and saw “ PLUGINS” on the left hand side. Success! * This morning, I went to the same site (at least I’m pretty sure I did), and the option is no longer there. That’s the url for your wordpress.com blog. Or would that not do any good? * I could always give you all my login info for you to go into godaddy and also wordpress.com if you know you’re way around, but not sure if that’s OK with you. I exported my blog data so I can just load it up again afterward….is there a way to start fresh with it?
