    Hi,

Your recent update is giving me critical errors in all places where the plugin shows something.

    WordPress version 5.9.3
    Current theme: Flatsome (version 3.15.4)
Current plugin: Beehive Analytics (version 3.3.13)
    PHP version 7.4.29

Here is the error WP has sent to my email:

    Error Details

    Hi @mistergeko

Sorry to hear you are having this issue.

The problem is related to the code trying to call a function that doesn’t exist, it can be related to a plugin conflict or a failed update.

Could you please try to reinstall the plugin?

If the problem persists, can you please make a Full Backup of your site or create a Staging website using https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-staging/ and then run a full plugin conflict test following this workflow: https://wpmudev.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/Support-Process-Support-Process.gif

Let us know the result you got.

    Hi Patrick,

Thanks for the feedback. I solved it by trying the plugins on/off. It was WPVivid backup plugin for some reason. But, when I activated it afterwards it did not conflict with Beehive anymore so it’s all good now.

Putting this as not resolved again, I realised after letting WPVivid do backups for a day or so, it triggered the error back again. Deactivating and activating the plugin clears the critical error until it happens again.

Right now I don’t know how to solve this so I am putting this out there so you know it’s still happening. I will create a support ticket over at WPVivid to see what they see about this.

    Hi @mistergeko

You mentioned in your initial post that the “recent update” is causing this. Do I understand correctly that the issue was not happening for you with previous version of Beehive and it was working correctly?

If yes, what other plugins were updated at around the same time as Beehive?

Also, did you have a chance to test if the same issue happens if you keep all other plugins disabled? If it’s not possible on a live site, perhaps you could set a staging site and test it there?

Knowing about that (personally, I’m not able to replicate the issue on any of my test sites) would really help as we may need to take it over to our developers.

    Kind regards,
    Adam

    Hi @mistergeko

Allow me to update you here

We found a conflict with the GuzzleHttp which is a package that Google Analytics uses, our developers already fixed it and there is an update coming soon, could you please keep the previous version for now and eyes on our upcoming updates?

If you have a moment, I would very much appreciate it if you could quickly rate our plugin. This will help us keep the plugin available for free.

I already left the review more than a year ago 😀

    https://wordpress.org/support/topic/modern-ga-packed-with-features-and-great-support/

I also did a video about it:

I think it is still the one with the most views about your plugin. I did not title it exactly Beehive, but when you search “beehive analytics” it should come up in search. The concept of the video was not to directly promote Beehive, but I show my own struggle after GADWP got bought and terminated, the best free option everyone used. I was looking for the best alternative and tested a few options and yours came up really as best one, featuring also new things that GADWP did not even have. Making a video about it so that others can find it too and not go through the search and test phase that I did seemed like a good thing to do 😀

Amazing products overall from WPMU DEV, keep on going people!

    All the best,
    mistergeko
