Well, tracking a visit, geolocating an IP address, determining the visitor’s screen resolution, browser, plugins, content type and all the rest takes a little time. If your server is not capable of handling the extra load, you should either use Google Analytics or upgrade to a better service provider 😉 In my test and production environments, I’ve measured the time required by my plugin to perform its job, and it’s nowhere near 20%…
Take care
Camu
I deactivate google Analytics & I use WP SlimStat 2.8.6 but it doesn’t solve

Okay we get it. Maybe you should test other Analytics plugins for WordPress, like Wassup or Statpress Reloaded. After you compare their performances with my plugin’s, I would really appreciate if you could come back and give us a report.
Right now you are comparing apples and… sport cars: tiny mce advanced of course doesn’t add anything to your site’s load time, since it doesn’t do anything when users visit your site. Same can be said for about half of your other plugins.
Also, let’s not forget that 20% of 1 second is still just 200 milliseconds, it’s not like it’s talking 20 seconds.
Oh, last but not least… When comparing these packages, please keep in mind the amount of data collected by each of them 😉 Does JetPack provide the same level of detail offered by my plugin? Life is full of trade-offs: give something, get something. If you want detailed info about your visitors, it is going to “cost” you a little more, there’s no way around it.
Which doesn’t mean, of course, that I won’t try to optimize and fine tune my plugin’s performance and algorithms to make it faster and more reliable. I always welcome feedback from users suggesting HOW or WHAT can be improved 😉
Thank you
Camu
Well, then I guess you just found your new Analytics plugin 😉
Good luck
Camu
okay but you try optimize time in your plugin until I came back to your plugin.
Best regards
