Beaver Builder Shortcodes in Block Editor Break when Slim SEO is active

    Hi there,
    I wanted to report a bug I’ve noticed on a few websites.
    So here is how to create the bug:

    1. Have Beaver Builder & Slim SEO active
    2. Create a saved BB module. And get the shortcode for that module from saved modules list screen
    3. Insert shortcode into block editor on a page
    4. Check the page – and it will be all broken – no styles etc
    5. Turn off slim SEO – and page will work again

    For reference I use the Blocksy Pro theme.
    I thought it might be worth you investigating.

    Here is some additional strange info… In blocksy I cab create a layout and hook it into any hook or have it as a shortcode. It I put a bb shortcode into a Blocksy hook, and then use the subsequent shortcode created in the block editor it doesn’t break the page – so strange.

    Hi @paullacey ,

    Are you using fl_builder_insert_layout shortcode? Can you please try this method?

    OK thank you I can use this work around now and I know it’s not a bug.

    While I have you @rilwis

    Do you think perhaps you could put in place a Beaver Builder shortcode exclusion rule.
    We see there is a file for the Beaver Builder integration already in the plugin so perhaps a function in there that makes an exception automatically for any shortcode containing fl_builder_insert_layout ?

    Oh wow you are the absolute best @rilwis !
    I love this plugin for launching a website with a good base of SEO out of the box.
    I’ll go check if I reviewed already and if not I’ll go do that 🙂
