• When you purchase or upgrade a plugin from Yith, they secretly sign you up for a subscription. They do not tell you this upfront and there’s no indication which is extremely poor business practice. Very shady tactics and I will never purchase another product from this company. They don’t realize they’re hurting their business with this bad reputation. They have lost a potential customer for life.

    Hi @belleo ,

when purchasing our plugins, our customers are asked during the checkout to read and accept Terms and Conditions, the Privacy Policy, and how our Subscription program works, and to authorize us to charge them for recurring payments for as long as they don’t wish to cancel the subscription, which is possible to do at any time from My account page. We also send a reminder email 30 days before the renewal date to notify them of the upcoming charge. Moreover, prices are shown as €xx/year.

There is no secret sign-up and we are sorry you missed/skipped all the information about our policies during your purchase.

All of what you stated above is false and I am shocked your company operates business this way. There is nothing on the product or checkout page that states this is a subscription. Your product is entirely misleading and that is why I am warning other users on here because the only place that states it is a subscription is in a lengthy Terms and Conditions which most people don’t read. You also DO NOT by default send out renewal email, even your support person mentioned this! By default the email is turned off, you as the user are expected to turn it on even though you are not aware upfront that it is a subscription product. Your way of doing business is unethical. I will never purchase another product from your company and I can see from your review history that I am not the only one to have encountered your shady business practices.
