Support » Plugin: Change Table Prefix » Be AWARE: it does only HALF the job, but can be fixed.

  • Plugin works for updating the prefix of the database tables, but you have to manually adjust your prefix in the wp-config.php file. I tested it with WP5.2 and the file permissions of wp-config.php temporarily set to “777”. Despite of that, the wp-config-file did not get updated. Not big of a deal, after changing the prefix myself in the wp-config-file, everything worked just fine (i.e. my site was not “broken” anymore)

  • A bit late to the party, but I wanted to say that I had the same problem. It said it completed successfully, but it didn’t update the wp-config.php file.
