bbPress User Profiles

    I’m sorry about the lacking documentation, but I’m sure you’re not blind. bbPress user profiles currently use (almost) the same rules as author archives.

    So, if you want a sidebar to show up for bbPress user profiles (and not author archives), use the following options:

    Select the authors/profiles you want to show the sidebar with.
    Exposure: Singular

    Obviously this is bad UX and will be changed in the next version.

    Hi Joachim,

    Thanks for this. However, it solves one problem and causes another. Doing as you suggested causes the blog base url and a few other pages to show the same sidebar settings as the bbpress user profile. I imagine this is because it’s set to “singular” on authors.

    Any idea when the next version is due?

    Yes I figured that after my first answer. The next version will hopefully be out this weekend or mid next week.
