bbPress 2.6 compatibility?

    Hello Robin,

    I believe I read that this plugin is compatible with bbPress 2.5+. However, I am having one issue.

    Settings -> bbp Style Pack -> Forum Templates -> Alternate Forum Template 1 option selected

    Is not working and still shows as the default bbpress layout.

    Can you help with this?

    style pack yes

    dashboard>settings>bbp style pack>Reset Settings

    I have already tried the “RESET” it did not help.

    I noticed there was an update. However, it did not help resolve the problem.

    Problem seems to be when upgrading an existing bbpress forums to 2.6. bbStyles stops working correctly.

    so is this just the alternate template or other settings ?

    Hi Robin! Thanks for replying!

    It is the alternate template and that is the only problem we’re having. It seems it just does not apply the setting and continues to use the default setting.

    ok, I can replicate the issue on a test site.

    2.6 does things differently – for instance if you have under 2.5.14

    category 1

    • forum 1a
    • forum 1b

    category 2

    • forum 2a
    • forum 2b

    this shows as

    Category 1
    Category 2

    on 2.6

    I will need to do some digging, but as 2.6 is unreleased, this will be when I have time

    I’m chatting with bbpress authors to understand why this isn’t working in 2.6, but this may take a while to get there. Whilst 2.6 is still pre-release, I’m not beating myself up that it is not working on 2.6, but will fix if possible 🙂

    This is actually a stem from the original root problem we’re having:

    We’re told 2.6 fixed the 404 errors but we cannot move forward without your plugin working with our styling of current forum. So we’re kind of stuck with random 404 errors right now.

    @jkw217 ok, I think I have found the issue, and released 4.2.5
