Hi, Venessa. Sorry you are having this issue.

Try the 1.7.13 update. It might fix the issue, but might not.

I have some questions to help us figure this out.

Are you also using pmpro-bbpress? Is the forum supposed to be locked down for a membership level?

There is an issue with our search filter that we’re still working out. A workaround that has fixed similar issues is to change the options on the advanced settings tab of the PMPro settings in the dashboard. Either turn of the search filter or set PMPro to show excerpts to non-members. Let me know if this works. We have another fix in the works to try to avoid these conflicts with bbpress.

    Thanks.

I think I’m having a related problem. I’m testing PMP and BBPress. Running the latest version of each, 1.7.13 for PMP.

The problem goes away if I deactivate pmpro-bbpress (v 1.1).

When pmpro-bbpress is active the forum pages completely vanish. Going to the URL of a forum returns “Sorry, no such page.” – 404 error.

Deactivate pmpro-bbpress and the forum returns.

    Additional discovery.

If I’m logged in as a PMP user (not the admin) pmpro-bbpress can be active and I still see the forums. I can post. Everything seems normal.

However – when logged in as the admin and pmpro-bbpress is active:

    1. All forums return 404 errors
    2. in the “forums -> all forums” menu all the forums are not shown
    3. if I keep an edit page for a forum open and reload after activating pmpro-bbpress the ability to set a parent gives no options.

    – Skippy

I am having the same issues. I can create a forum and not mark any of the membership levels- it shows fine.

However, when I check any membership levels, all forums (not just the ones that I have checked needing membership levels) are deleted.

Would love to see a solution because it is very easy to use!!

    Thank you.

Try turning “Filter searches and archives?” to “No” in Memberships > Advanced Settings and see if that fixes the issue.

Yes it did ! Thank you very much.

I am searching for this answer now- wondering if it is easy? No matter what text I get, when I access forum page that has membership levels enabled (and I am not yet on a subscription) it goes to a simple text page that says:

Search for: Home › Forums You do not have the required membership level to access that forum. Forum Topics Posts Freshness Expert 1 Forums 2 2 20 hours, 40 minutes ago sfatalk […]

I would ideally like it to flip to the membership levels page if possible?

    Thank you again,

This seems to have fixed the issue for me as well. I’m evaluating PMPro for use so this is my first time around with it.

If the problem pops up again I’ll be back.

I just had a big problem. Updating paid-memberships-pro to 1.7.13 my whole site collapsed. Lost all connection as it became unavailable. I had to call technical support from my server to restore a backup from the previous day. It seems the update got in conflict with bbpress.

Are you still on 1.7.13? There were a few bugs introduced which we addressed immediately in a hotfix version 1.7.13.1.
