bbP private groups crashed site on update

    Updating to Version 3.8.2 and crashed the site. Was able to get in via recovery mode.

    Error:

    This plugin failed to load properly and is paused during recovery mode.

    An error of type E_ERROR was caused in line 9 of the file
    /nas/content/live/cpakayaker/wp-content/plugins/bbp-private-groups/includes/forum-filters.php.     Oh, and you may want this:

    WordPress version 5.4.1
    Current theme: Nirvana bbPress Child (version )
    Current plugin: bbP private groups (version 3.8.2)
    PHP version 7.3.17-1+ubuntu18.04.1+deb.sury.org+1

    did it crash on the actual updating? Normally this just creates an error.

    Or was it after updating when you were in the site? and if so, can you remember what you were doing ?

    I had clicked update and then received the message. Not sure if it was uploading or had finished at that point.

    unusual – wrodpress does nit normally allow updates with errors.

    However I have worked out what the issue was, and changed the code in 3.8.3 just released.

    Hopefully that will all be fine now !
