Support » Plugin: WP Store Locator » Batch Upload

  • Hi,

I’m reaching out because I am working for a client that has 25,000+ store files we are trying to upload into the system. At first we were only able to upload 50 at a time, then it jumped to 60, 80, and once we got to 100 it would not let us exceed. Little by little it’s taking smaller amounts. And now we are only able to upload 40 at a time.

This is a major issue, because we are less than 7,000 records into the 25,000+ we need to import into the plugin and we’ve been at this all day.

Is there any faster way we can make this happen?

What are you using to import the locations?

Did you set a server api key? If not, then create one.

What’s the error that shows up?

My first guess is that it runs into either a memory limit, or the maximum execution time. Both restrictions are placed on your server to prevent your site from using to many resources.

The plugin does try to disable the maximum execution time, but this isn’t always allowed. Ask your host if they can raise the memory limit and maximum execution time, once they have done this try to import the file again.

    Thanks for your reply.

Can you let me know the database table name where all these store locator data is stored ? I want to sync two databases. We have updated in wrong site and want to migrate the 7000 locations from one site to another database. We dont want to go through uploading these 7000 records again in new system.

Can you also list all database table related to store locator plugin?

Also is there a way to copy all 25,000 CSV records directly to database table using mySQL script ?

The store locator doesn’t use a single db table anymore, it uses custom post types, so the post data itself is stored in the post table, and the meta data ( phone, email address etc ) in the post_meta field.

Only the 1.x version used a custom table.

Which plugin version are you using?

If you want to copy the data fields to another server, then you could just create an export from phpMyadmin of the post and post meta fields, and import that on the other site.
