basicmaths child theme breaks iphone css
hello all – i’m building on the latest version of the allancole/khoivinh basic maths theme and am experimenting with adding a header image to the top of the main page, using a child theme.
the theme comes with a great iphone css out of the box but my new child theme header also affects the iphone styling. not good!
i have picked through the .php templates for the theme, but I’m too much of a php baby to understand exactly how the user agents are sorted out.
what I’ve done that’s not working (meaning works great for standard browser views but also gets picked up by the iphone):
- added a header.php to my child theme
- added a new “header_image” div to the header.php in my child theme
- modified the stylings of the appropriate divs in the child theme css
my guess is I need to make modifications to functions.php in my child theme to sort out the css and have the iphone ignore the child theme changes.
is there a simple way to sort this out?
