# Basic WordPress Question

 * I just installed wordpress on my own domain hosted on Hostgator for my hotel 
   website
 * I then bought the nation custom theme
 * Ive modified the theme options and in order to show the theme I need to create
   a page and select the default templates however the page URL is never just the
   domain URL, it always requires me to include some extension of the URL
    i.e. .
   com/blah/
 * The default link is always the blog page with nothing on it, this isnt for a 
   blog and I dont even want a blog anywhere on the page so how do I remove this
   blog element and default the .com domain to one page which has the theme templates?

 * Click on Themes > Customize. To the right side of the page, you will see different
   options, one of which would be **Static Home page**.
 * Select **Front Page Displays** > **A Static Page**. You will now see two drop-
   downs. For the Front page, choose the home page you created.
 * Save and you are good to go.
