# Basic Theme – Suggestions?

 * Hey guys,
 * I am looking for my first WordPress theme.
 * I want a very basic, clean looking theme with the following:
 * -5 simple, tabs across the top of the page
    -The ability to create & position
   rows/columns of text -The ability to change the background & tab colors.
 * Can anyone suggest a suitable theme?

 * So, are wordpress themes something I can use as a template and then edit as I
   desire (layout, colors, tab styles etc)?
    Is wordpress the same as Applications
   like iWeb etc?

 * Yes. Or at least you can edit any theme downloaded from [http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/](http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/)
