# Basic Question about settings

 * On the overview page, i have the following :
 * **Object Cache** 12Mo object of 73003 files
 * **Zend OPcache** Not Available
 * Is caching working ?

 * Yes, the caching is working. Although Zend OPcache is not enabled on your server

 * It may have some performance issues because it will read cache files directly
   from the disk.

 * Does it mean the caching will not really help in this case ?
 * The “problem” is that i have no access to the apache config.

 * It is very subjective depending on your server/hosting. It helps with caching
   but you may face I/O limits. But, if no issue happens yet, it is Okay to use 
   Docket Cache.
