 * Hi I am very new to WprdPress and was wondering if there was a way to add normal
pages such as About Us etc. In addition where is the best place to get plugins.

I have been using mambo and postnuke but am on a search for a standards compliant
CMS to use – so need the feature of adding basic pages easily. Thanks for your
   help.

 * Thanks for that speedy reply. I guess what I am wondering if it is possible either
through a plugin or other to make it a simple as “Add New Page” for a user you
may set the site up for. This page will automatically appear in a menu once published.

Exactly like the wordpress menu along the top – they have pages that are not
part of the blog that I assume are easily updatable and created throught the
admin interface. I know this pushes the functionality of WordPress from a blogging
system to a content management system – buit can it do it?

    Download the EzStatic
   plugin – [http://www.asymptomatic.net/wp%2Dhacks/](http://www.asymptomatic.net/wp%2Dhacks/)
Then create your pages offline.. Upload them to a folder of your choice.. I personally
have them in their own folder off the root and I keep the images for the static
pages in there as well. Then in the categories add a category and relocate it
on the page where you want it by editing the index.php… Once you install the
plugin and read the directions you will know how to link to your static page..
then you can edit the static page from within the admin area by going to templates
and specifying the page you want to edit in the input field. Hope that helps..
   Kind regards, gravity
