    I have WordPress installed on my test server, and I’m trying to figure out how to integrate the blog into my main site. I would write a theme from scratch, but it seems overly complex and not quite what I need: all I want is to include the title, date, and text of posts into a PHP page (to function as a “news” section). Is there any way to either integrate the RSS, or to just grab the posts from WordPress, without rewriting my theme? Thanks.

  • ok so what is your main site built as, is it static pages or php, you can call on wordpress posts individually or you can just have it included, like
    <?php include("thelooppage.php"); ?>
    where teh loop page would be your custom page where you would call on teh posts the way you want,

    ohh thelooppage.php would have to be a direct adress like

    I’m using PHP. And even when I have a highly minimal theme (it just displays the title, date and contents), I can’t figure out how to include the page. I’ve tried doing something like <?php include("http://localhost/blog/wp-content/themes/custom/index.php"); ?>, and <?php include("http://localhost/blog/index.php"); ?>, but it didn’t work. Any ideas on how to just include my entire theme? To include the entire blog?

    There are better ways than what you want to do but anyways, if you insist – click on my name and see the Integrate… post in the popular posts list.

    What other ways would you recommend?

    And…well…wow. That worked perfectly. Thanks so much!
