# Basic installation

 * I am in the the very first stages of downloading wordpress and have this question.
   I currently have a website that is up and running. [http://www.izaaks.com](http://www.izaaks.com).
   This website was created using a godaddy product called website tonight. This
   is a template driven website which also has quickshopping cart. The quick shopping
   cart url is shop.izaaks.com. I intend to keep using the quick shopping cart plug-
   in.
 * My question is this. Godaddy has requested that I provide the url for the new
   wordpress blog and I want it to be [http://www.izaaks.com](http://www.izaaks.com).
   How do I keep my old website up until I have created my new website using wordpress.
   I am a total dope when it comes to this.
