 * I have had problems since installing WP2.92 [http://www.tricitypsychologycom](http://www.tricitypsychologycom)
   3 weeks ago, first with database then logging on to website
    When logging on
   to website I get this message:
 * The server [http://www.tricitypsychology.com](http://www.tricitypsychology.com)
   at Access for /logs requires a username and password.
 * Warning: This server is requesting that your username and password be sent in
   an insecure manner (basic authentication without a secure connection).
 * I have reinstalled fresh wordpress files but still have no luck… also the blog
   is not linking to full posts eg.
    [http://www.tricitypsychology.com/blog/girls-if-want-to-live-longer-dont-marry-a-younger-man#more-9539](http://www.tricitypsychology.com/blog/girls-if-want-to-live-longer-dont-marry-a-younger-man#more-9539)
 * I have seen similar posts that suggest a rogue file… but installing fresh files
   has no effect

 * Regarding the first problem, something in the code of your main page is attempting
   to link to [http://www.tricitypsychology.com/logs](http://www.tricitypsychology.com/logs),
   which is protected by HTTP authentication. Since you shouldn’t be linking there
   at all, you should probably find what part of the code is linking there and remove
   it.
 * For the second problem, Go to Settings/Permalinks and set your permalink structure
   again. This time, include the trailing slash. Use:
 * `/%postname%/`
 * Once you click the “Save Changes” button, WordPress will either automatically
   update the `.htaccess` file for you or give you instructions on how to do it
   manually.

 * Thank you for your support… I did have a script that I had placed in the HTML
   folder in error. I also have rectified the permalinks problem… almost got everything
   back to normal! 🙂
